About Me — (C’mon, click on me :)
In a past life, I worked as an attorney in a large law firm, but then I didn’t want to do that anymore.
So I quit.
Now I’m just a girl, and her Chihuahuas, and her scooters — yep, I have more than one — (and eventually hopefully a motorcycle), riding along through Life’s adventures — trying to have fun, enjoy the scenery, and not end up the hood ornament on a distracted driver’s car. (And a day job. I have a day job. Cuz I have bills.)
I hope my postings make you laugh, or bring a smile to your face, or make you think about something in a slightly different way than you did before. They are my little observations — usually** made on a scooter or near a scooter or while contemplating life (and my next scooter).
** In the interests of full disclosure, sometimes weird shit happens to me* after I’ve ridden someplace on my scooter or when I’m not on, near, or around a scooter — and I still write about it. Because I love writing, most of all:
“Writing isn’t about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid, or making friends. In the end, it’s about enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life, as well. It’s about getting up, getting well, and getting over. Getting happy, okay? Getting happy.” — Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft
* Like, for example, that time I was walking down South Street, and a butterfly parked on my shoulder:
